Whether you feel like a snack, a "Vesper" (typical cold Black Forest dish) or seasonal food as for example asparagus, fish or game – our regional cuisine offers something for everyone.
For guests of all ages having a sweet tooth our restaurant presents an exquisite choice of different cakes - including Black Forest cherry cake - as well as a great variety of delicious ice cream sundaes.

Taste the Black Forest

The restaurant manager of the "Hüttenklause" is a member of the selected nature park restaurateurs and entitled to use their logo.
The restaurateurs of the Black Forest Nature Park Central/North association have dedicated themselves to the local cuisine. Their slogan "Taste the Black Forest" is to be understood literally!
All year round these restaurants offer at least three local main dishes and - if possible - one regional menu. The restaurateurs deliberately buy products from local farmers and thus help to ensure their subsistence. You will learn about the origin of the products in the menu.

The philosophy of the „Taste the south" restaurateurs is both simple and brilliant: The cooperation of regional producers and gastronomy aims at serving meals prepared exclusively with high-quality local products. This supports regional business and allows the restaurateur to personally keep a check on the foodstuffs.

Freshly harvested products and short transport distances are further advantages of this initiative.

„Taste the south" was established in 1996 by the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Baden-Württemberg and the ministry of agriculture.
